NMMS (National Talent Search Examination) 2021 is a National Level Examination conducted by NCERT (National Council of Education Research and Training) to provide the scholarship to the deserving candidates. This exam is for secondary school level to identify and recognize students with high intellect and skills The NMMS Exam is conducted for students studying in Class 8 Only 10th standard students (below 18 years of age) are eligible to appear for the examination.

Notification of NMMS examination for standard 8 students
Period for filling the online application form for the exam: Dt. Dated from 19/11/2020. Until 19/12/2020
Period for online fee payment: - Dt. Dated from 19/11/2020. Until 22/12/2020
Exam Date: - Dt. 28/02/2021
A student who comes in merit after passing the examination will get a total scholarship of Rs. 48,000 / - for four years at the rate of Rs. 12,000 / - for one year from Std. 9 to 12.
Every year NCERT conducts the National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) in coordination with states for students studying in Class X to identify and nurture their talent and then awarding them with scholarships. These scholarships are awarded on the basis of two objective types is written tests namely the Mental Ability Test (MAT) and the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) followed by face-to-face interviews.

Identification of talent comprises a two-stage selection process. While the individual State / UT conducts the first stage selection, the second stage selection at the national level is carried out by the NCERT. 2000 scholarships are awarded in the country with a reservation of 15 percent for SC, 7.5 percent for ST and 27 percent for other backward classes, and 4 percent for a group of students with benchmark disabilities. NMMS Scholarship 2020
The National Means Cum Merit Scholarship (NMMS) is provided by the MHRD, Government of India. There are approx. 1 lac NMMS scholarships granted to the students every year. The students have to appear in the written entrance exam of the NMMS 2020 scholarship to become eligible. NMMS 2020 exam is scheduled to be conducted on December 12, 13, and 20.

NMMS Scholarship 2020 - Eligibility Criteria
(Senior and Higher secondary stage) Only the eligible candidates will be able to claim the scholarship of NMMS 2020 for the senior and higher secondary stage. The eligibility conditions for the NMMS 2020 scholarship for the senior and higher secondary stage is as given below:. The scholarship is payable for a maximum period of 4 years from class IX to class XII. The NMMS 2020 scholarship is only applicable for the candidates studying within India only. . The candidates claiming NMMS 2020 scholarship, must have a clear promotion record of class VIII and IX. . The NMMS scholarship is not provided for the diploma and certificate courses at this stage.
