Moment of Lakshmi Pooja 2020:

This year the auspicious moment of worship is on 14th November from 05:28 pm to 07:24 pm (time 1 hour 56 minutes). So, on the other hand, the pollution period will be from 05:27 pm to 08:07 pm. On the other hand, the date of the new moon will be from 02:17 pm on November 14 to 10:36 am on November 15.


Ritual of Lakshmi Puja:

1. Special preparation has to be done for Lakshmi Pujan. For her first of all decide a place in her home where you want to worship. Lakshmi is worshiped at the place where there is a temple in the house. Clean the area with Ganga water or plain water. Then spread a yellow or red cloth on a wooden board. Make a small rangoli with rice flour on it. Respectfully place an idol or photo of Goddess Lakshmi here. Keep a handful of grain to its right and left.


2. Then prepare the 'Kalash'. Fill the Kalash with water, an areca nut, a Golgotha ​​flower, a coin, and rice. Keep the coconut on the Kalash with its fibrous part facing upwards. Place 5 mango leaves on all four sides of this coconut.


3. Now prepare the ‘pooja plate’. Put akshat (rice) in it. Make a lotus flower with turmeric powder and place an idol of Lakshmiji on it. Place a few coins in front of the statue.


4. According to Hindu beliefs, the first to be worshiped is Lord Ganesha. That is why place an idol of Ganapati on the right side of 'Kalash'. Remember that this is in a southwesterly direction. Apply a tilak of turmeric kanku on the head of Lord, ascend Akshat.


5. Then you take the blessings of the gods and goddesses by leaving the account or pen etc. associated with your business or trade. Then light the lamp.


6. Light the lamp and place it on the pooja plate. Sprinkle akshat, kanku, and flower on it. Apply tilak on the Kalash and also put some flowers on it.


7. Now invoke the Goddess. For this, chant the Vedic mantras of Lakshmi Mata properly. Close your eyes and pray to the goddess, offering her flowers and rice.


8. Put the goddess on a plate and bathe her, place Panchamrut on her. Clean the idol again by rinsing it with water. Apply turmeric-kanku tilak on them. Wear a fresh flower garland with akshat. Light an Agarbatti in front of the goddess.


9. Then offer sweets to the Goddess. Place the areca nuts on the coconut, leaf in front of them. Offer Diwali sweets, fruits, money, or any precious ornaments to Maa Devi.

10. In the end, all the people of the house should pray to the Goddess together, pray to her for wealth and welfare. In this way also pray to Lord Ganesha.
